Abstract: Employee #1 was operating a Buster packaging machine by loading a dial feed system and taking off finished packages. Before one package was heat pressed, she noticed that the materials were not aligned and reached under the press to straighten them. The press cycled and caught her left hand and arm. She could not immediately turn off the press because the controls were on the left side of the machine. Others came to her aid, and she was transported to a hospital. She suffered severe burns that required a skin graft.
