Abstract: Employee #1, a carpenter, was working on a remodeling job. He was cutting a miter on a piece of molding that was less than 8 inches-- too short to cut safely, according to the employee. He proceeded to make the miter cut and when he released it his hand contacted the saw, cutting it. Employee #1 said he was trying to save his employer money by using all the wood possible. The saw was in excellent condition.
