Abstract: At approximately 8:00 p.m. on December 29, 1994, Employee #1 reported for work and checked in with dispatch. He called dispatch at about 10:15 p.m. and again at 12:10 a.m. to see if there were any messages or calls holding. Employee #1 was paged at about 1:15 a.m. to check out a loud washing machine at the Village in the Westridge Apartments. Employee #1 reported back to dispatch that he had informed the resident that the washing machines could not be used after 10:00 p.m. Employee #1 then did not call in when he was supposed to go off duty. Dispatch tried to page him with negative results. Another employee for the company heard over the radio that there had been a shooting at the Westridge Apartments. The Tacoma Police contacted the company owner to inform him that Employee #1 had been fatally shot. The case is still under investigation by the Tacoma Police Department, Case Number 94-3640105.
