Abstract: Employee #1 tried to put out a fire in a wok by covering it with a cookie sheet. The wok handles created an air gap between the wok pan and the cookie sheet. Employee #1 then tried to cool the fire by putting water on the cookie sheet. The water splashed into the flaming grease drops; he sustained second-degree burns to his left ear, neck, and both hands.
