Abstract: EMPLOYEE #1 WAS REMOVING A TRANSMISSION FROM A SALVAGE AUTOMOBILE. THE VEHICLE WAS LIFTED BY A 1970 MILITARY SURPLUS FORKLIFT. THE EMPLOYEE WENT BENEATH THE RAISED AUTO TO WORK. THE CAR CAME DOWN, PINNING EMPLOYEE #1 TO THE GROUND. HE SUFFERED A RUPTURED LIVER. HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT SWEDISH MEMORIAL HOSPITAL BY THE EMERGENCY ROOM STAFF.
