Abstract: At 1:00 p.m. on October 5, 2020, an employee working as a construction trades helper was working for a site preparation contractor separating drilling rods. The employee reached towards the breaking table while a coworker operating the Diedrich D-50 Turbo Drilling Rig closed the hydraulic clamp. The employee caught his left ring finger in the clamp crushing the fingertip. The employee received medical treatment without hospitalization for an amputated fingertip.
