Abstract: At 12:30 p.m. on March 20, 2019, Employee #1 was looking at a conveyor belt to see why it was not moving and looking for a board that jammed the belt. The employee placed his gloved hand on the top of the belt/pulley guard. The back of belt/pulley was not guarded. Glove finger tip was pulled into the pulley when the belt started moving again. The employee sustained a laceration, resulting in an amputation. The employee was hospitalized.
