Abstract: At 10:00 p.m. on January 10, 2019, Employee #1 and Employee #2 were performing interior structural firefighting operations on the third floor of a multiple residence home. Employee #1 and Employee #2 encountered extreme heat and were separated. Employee #1 suffered burns on the face, head, arms, and hands. The burns on the hands were extreme and required skin grafting. Employee #2 suffered first and second degree burns on the majority of the torso and upper body. Both employees were hospitalized.
