Abstract: At 11:10 a.m. on April 17, 2018, an employee had removed a tire from a forklift and was repairing a leak. The employee finished making repairs to the tire and began to inflate it with air. The employee suffered severe facial lacerations and was blinded in one eye when the tire burst and the rim broke apart. He also fractured his right arm and had a metal plate installed. The employee was hospitalized as well.
