Abstract: At 11:00 p.m. on November 7, 2017, Employee #1, employed by a construction company, was engaged in exterior carpentry at a multiemployer construction project, a residential building. He was using a radial arm miter saw to cut a section of rolled Tyvek material when the saw kicked back. The saw blade struck Employee #1's left thumb, causing a deep laceration. Emergency services were called, and Employee #1 was transported to the hospital. He was admitted and treated for the laceration.
