Abstract: At 8:00 a.m. on November 6, 2017, an employee was handling some fiberglass and had used a saw to cut metal strips. The employee was wearing cut resistant gloves and he moved the metal strips to the drill press to drill holes into it. The metal strip became stuck and the employee placed his gloved hand near the drill bit where a scrap piece of aluminum caught it and pulled his hand into the rotating drill bit. The employee suffered a partial amputation to his index finger. Hospitalization was not required.
