Abstract: At 1:25 p.m. on May 26, 2017, an employee was working on a mill in an assembly room cutting pieces to make water lines for installation and was a usual task. The employee brought the parts in from another area to cut to length of about 6 inches. The employee was wearing gloves. The employee finished cutting a part and reached to the mill to remove the part. The employee's glove got caught in the mill pulling his hand into the mill. The employee sustained an amputation of his right middle finger to the nail bed. The employer reported the incident the same day at 1:45 p.m. The employer complied with the reporting requirement. The employee was identified by the employer as an experienced employee.
