ELECTRIC SHOCK - CONTACT WITH OVERHEAD LINE THRU BOOM

An employee was holding the discharge hose from a concrete truck, directing the flow of concrete into a form in a pit. The rubber hose was reinforced with metal and had an exterior metal ring. The boom on the concrete truck came too close to a 13.8-kilovolt overhead power line, and the employee holding the hose was electrocuted.
