Employee sustains 3rd degree burns from flash fire

At 6:15 p.m. on February 17, 2021, employees were attempting to start an adjacent compression machine at a manufacturing facility. During this process, the already running compression machine had excess gas flow into the drain system, causing a flash fire. The employees sustained 3rd degree burns as a result of the fire. Emergency services responded to the incident, and the employees were transported to the hospital for admission and treatment.
