Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

At 12:02 p.m. on August 7, 2020, an employee started displaying COVID-19 symptoms on his scheduled resting weekend, while at his individual residence. The employee called in early morning requesting sick leave on July 20, 2020 at approximately 6:30 a.m. The employee eventually went to the hospital and was diagnosed with pneumonia on July 24, 2020. Employee continued feeling sick throughout the week. A positive test result came back on Sunday July 26, 2020. The employee was admitted into ICU at The Hospitals of Providence East on August 1, 2020. The employee died on August 7, 2020 (while in ICU, the employee suffered a heart attack).
