Employee incurs multiple injuries when caught up in spool

At 3:00 a.m. on June 1, 2020, an employee was running copper wire into a large wooden take up reel. The alarm sounded and then cleared, and then the employee disappeared from the security camera's view. The employee's right foot and body were caught up in the slow rotating copper wire take up spool/reel. The employee was hospitalized to treat a broken left femur and multiple injuries from the waist down.
