Employee's foot is fractured by falling metal lid

At 10:55 a.m. on January 6, 2020, an employee was operating a Hypertherm plasma cutter in a metal fabrication shop when he went to transfer a 64-pound metal lid from the cutting table to a holding rack. The employee was placing the lid on the rack when it bounced, fell through the open bottom, and hit the top of his foot. The employee was hospitalized to treat a fractured foot.
