Employee fractures middle finger when caught between ball jo

At 2:45 p.m. on February 19, 2019, an employee was disassembling ball joints using the Instron 5584 quality test equipment and was attaching the top of the ball joint to the descending ram. The employee caught his right hand and his middle finger between the ball joint and the bed of the test equipment, fracturing the finger. The employee was hospitalized.
