At 3:00 p.m. on December 17, 2018, an employee was standing outside of a drop zone for tree trimming activities when a coworker dropped a tree limb and struck his Stihl Type 1 Class E hard hat. The employee's mesh face shield was broken off and he sustained several lacerations, bruises, and abrasions to his scalp, head, and face. The employee was hospitalized.
