Employee lacerates and amputates fingertip when struck by sa

At 7:15 p.m. on October 22, 2018, an employee pulled a sample board for a quality control check after it exited the saw area and saw that the next board was going to be jammed where the gap in the table was for the saw blade. The employee reached into the discharge opening of the saw guard to straighten the board and struck his hand with the saw blade, lacerating his right hand's middle finger and amputated its tip. The employee was hospitalized.
