Employee amputates two fingers and fractures one finger when

At 8:00 a.m. on October 18, 2018, Employee #1 was troubleshooting a rubber mixing machine. The employee went under the machine to check what was wrong. While under the machine, the employee saw material that was caught in the mixing paddles of the machine. When reaching into the paddles to attempt to clear the material, his left hand became caught in the paddles amputating two fingers and and fracturing one. The employee was hospitalized.
