Employee catches hand in machine and crushes it

At 12:55 pm. on March 29, 2017, an employee was forging heads on bolts on a 1 inch National Upsetter forging machine when he placed his right hand into the machine. The employee had his hand crushed when the machine closed on it. The employee was hospitalized and had surgery performed on his hand.
