Worker is paralyzed in fall through roof insulation

At 2:00 p.m. on July 11, 2017, Employee #1, employed by a painting contractor, was engaged in steel erection at a multiemployer construction project, a two-story building. To help other employees, he began inserting roof inserts in preparation for the installation of roofing material. Employee #1 reportedly leaned over and fell through the roof insulation to the concrete floor, a fall height of 10 feet. Emergency services were called, and Employee #1 was transported to the hospital. He was admitted and treated for a fractured spine and paralysis.
