Employee amputates fingers while feeding material into machi

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on June 27, 2017, an employee, a supervisor, was feeding material into a machine called a foiler. A foiler places a decorative material onto MDF board to cover up a previous cut to blend in and make products appearance match on all sides. The employee became distracted and the unguarded machine pulled his hand into a pinch point. The employee suffered amputation of the tips of three fingers past the finger nails. The machine was unguarded at the point of operation. The employee was not hospitalized.
