Investigation Summary
At 10:20 a.m. on April 24, 2017, an employee was troubleshooting a Delta brand wood planer a problem with the planer's electric motor and had removed the guards. The employee placed their right hand on the top of the motor and came into contact with the planer knife while the machine was in operation. The employee amputated five fingers from their right hand.
