Employee Suffers Fractures in Fall from Scaffold

At approximately 2:00 p.m. on August 20, 2013, Employee #1, a volunteer, was building a shade structure next to a children's train ride when he stepped back from an open scaffold. The employee fell backwards off the scaffold approximately 6 ft. A coworker, volunteer, was in the vicinity heard the commotion and called Emergency Medical Service. Employee #1 was transported to Kern Medical Center, where he was treated for fractures to his head and shoulder and later released.
