Employee Is Injured in Fall from Deck

On January 28, 2012, Employee #1 was working on the second floor of a building, and he was attaching wall sheathing to an exterior wall. Employee #1 was standing near the edge of the deck, and he was nailing the sheathing. Employee #1 fell off the deck to the ground 22 feet below. Employee #1 was not wearing fall protection, and he suffered a broken back, a broken pelvis, and three broken ribs.
