Backing Truck Crushes and Kills Dock Worker

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on June 7, 2011, Employee #1, a 49-year-old male with Pepsi Bottling Ventures LLC., was working as a spotter. Employee #1 was standing in front of a dock door when a truck backing to the dock door struck Employee #1 and pinned and crushed him against the loading dock. Emergency Medical services were summoned and coworkers provided first aid assistance to Employee #1. The fire department soon arrived and pronounced Employee #1 dead at the scene.
