Employee Suffers Fractures after Falling from Vehicle

On November 18, 2011, Employee #1 suffered serious injuries requiring hospitalization. Employee #1 was going to drive an athletic team to the airport in a van owned by the university. As he left the vehicle to find another individual, the van began to roll backwards. Employee #1 attempted to get back into the vehicle, but it hit a curb and he fell to the ground, suffering a fractured shoulder and multiple contusions and lacerations on his body.
