Employee's Leg Is Struck by Trailer and Is Injured

At approximately 9:00 a.m. on October 12, 2010, Employee #1, a farm laborer, was walking next to a trailer and retrieving raisin trays and depositing them into storage bins located on the trailer within a grape field. As he walked nearby the trailer, one of the tires of the trailer struck his right leg. Employee #1 sustained a fracture of the right femur, right tibia and fibula. He was transported to a medical center. At the medical center, Employee #1 underwent surgery and received care, and then was hospitalized.
