Employee Falls from Platform and Is Severely Injured

On March 5, 2014, Employee #1, a self-employed freelance production designer, was working on a photo shoot. The independent still photography production was located on Stage Number 2 in the studio. The director of photography production instructed her to access a platform located on the second level of the stage to place black tape on the lights. As she was working from the platform, she fell approximately 19.83 ft onto a concrete floor. Employee #1 was transported to a medical center, where she was treated for neck and pelvic fractures and was then hospitalized.
