Worker Is Thrown and Injured When Atv Strikes Rock

At approximately 2:00 p.m. on June 21, 2011, Employee #1, a 43-year-old male with Avista Corp, was riding an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) to inspect work done along an electrical transmission right-of-way. The wheel of the ATV struck a rock, throwing Employee #1 off the ATV, causing him to roll down an embankment. Employee #1 was hospitalized and suffered internal injuries in the crash.
