Employee Is Injured When He Falls from Tunnel Roof

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on May 21, 2007, Employee #1 was color coating a wall while working on the roof of a temporary pedestrian tunnel. The pedestrian tunnel is a canopy structure erected above an entry way to a store in the strip mall being remodeled, in order to protect pedestrians from falling objects. Employee #1 lost his balance and fell approximately 8.5 feet onto the ground, striking his head against a concrete trash can as he fell. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
