Employee Slips and Injures Ankle

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on February 17, 2009, an employee was instructed by his immediate supervisor to place tires on the rack located in the storage area behind the retail store. While the employee was placing a Dakota H/T Definity Tire, P245/65R17, on the third rack from the ground, approximately 6 feet above the ground, he slipped. The employee was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. The employee was hospitalized and treated for fracture and dislocation of the left ankle.
