Employee Drowns in Lake While Backing Bulldozer

At approximately 11:15 a.m. on September 19, 2005, the owner of Caloosa Shell Corporation, went to look for Employee #1, an operator of the bulldozer, who was clearing and leveling the ground in preparation for residential construction. The owner could not locate Employee #1 and seeing tread marks down the embankment, he feared that Employee #1 might have backed the bulldozer into Cockroach Bay. The owner called for an emergency ambulance, and the Hillsborough County Sheriffs Department called for dive team at the same time. Employee #1's body was found submerged in the water. It was presumed that he drowned.
