Employee Is Injured When Run over by Vehicle

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on October 26, 2006, an employee parked his personal vehicle, gray, 1996 Toyota Tacoma, License Number CA 6G45577, at the median of the freeway northbound I-15 just ahead of the parked CHP vehicle to give the officer his timesheet as they have agreed. The employee forgot to park his vehicle, when he hurriedly got out of his truck to meet a CHP Officer. Employee's vehicle rolled back, hit him with the open side door and knocked and dragged him down and his left upper and lower extremities were run over by the moving tires of the vehicle. Upon seeing what happened, CHP Officer got out of his patrol vehicle and stopped the employee's vehicle from rolling further. CHP Officer began to render medical aid until Fire and Emergency personnel arrived on scene. The employee was transported by Mercy Air to Loma Linda University medical Center for treatment and was hospitalized for two days.
