Employee killed when garbage truck backs up

On December 9, 2002, Employee #1 was on the passenger side, spotting a garbage truck owned by Atlanta Waste Industries Incorporated that was dumping. At the same time, another garbage truck owned by BFI pulled in, got stuck in the mud, and pulled forward. Then, the BFI truck backed on the passenger side of the Atlanta Waste truck, killing Employee #1.
