Employee killed when struck by falling light pole

The employer is a paving contractor. They were installing a 39-foot-long metal light pole using a rubber tire backhoe equipped with a chain to hoist the light pole. The light pole slipped while being hoisted, striking and fatally injuring Employee #1.
