Employee Dies From Heart Attack

Shortly after 11:00 p.m., Employee #1, a maintenance mechanic, died from a heart attack. He complained to his supervisor that he had a big dinner at home and wasn't feeling well. He was instructed to just take it easy and do not work until he was feeling better. After a while his supervisor noticed that he looked ill and offered to take him to the hospital emergency room. Employee #1 declined because he apparently said he didn't think it was anything serious. He then collapsed, and the paramedics were called. After working on him for a while, they were not able to revive him. The paramedics took him to a local hospital. A few hours later his employer inquired of his status and learned that he had passed away. A preliminary report from the Cook County Coroners Office indicated the cause of his death was coronary atherosclerosis, a natural heart attack.
