Investigation Summary

Investigation Nr: 171058233
Event: 10/11/1999
Employee injured in fall from flat roof

Employee #1 was working on a 13 ft 8 in. high flat roof, cutting a joist at the corner of the roof to meet building specifications. He was kneeling and leaning forward to make the cut when he lost his balance and fell approximately 10 ft onto masonry scaffolding. Employee #1 sustained injuries, for which he was treated and released. Apparently the board he was using to maintain his balance was not as secure as he thought.
