Investigation Summary
Employee #1 was using the meat cutting band saw to trim "Eye of Round." When the meat rolled on him, he cut his right index finger down the middle. Employee #1 was distracted by a customer who started talking to him while he was operating the meat cutting band saw. Employee #1 was not hospitalized but lost part of the bone on this finger. The band saw was properly guarded and the employee was trained.
