Investigation Summary
Employee #1, a drywall foreman, and a coworker were hanging drywall from a scissor lift with a 10-ft platform. Employee #1 removed the end rail of the lift to accommodate the 12-ft long drywall sheets. The next day the end rail was still off and Employee #1 backed off the platform and fell approximately 11.5 ft to the concrete floor. Employee #1 sustained fractures and was hospitalized.
