Employee Fractures Leg in Fall from Scaffold

At approximately 12:45 p.m. on March 29, 2004, Employee #1, working for Garcia-Bentley Construction Inc. in Laredo Beach, CA, was performing repair work on the damaged siding of a house. Employee #1 placed a rolling scaffold on a driveway to reach a side panel due for repair. While working, he lost his balance and fell, sustaining fractures to his lower right leg. The scaffold remained in place and did not tip over. Employee #1 was transported to the Little Company of Mary Hospital, where he remained for 20 days for treatment of his injuries.
