Employee's leg crushed between forklift and storage rack

A temporary employee was operating an industrial prime mover vehicle at a construction supply wholesale and retail sales facility. He was driving backwards in the storage rack area of the facility carrying wooden pallets embedded with nails. As he switched gears and drove forward, his left leg was pinned and crushed between the metal storage rack system and the prime mover vehicle. He sustained multiple fractures to his leg and foot, and was transported to St. Francis Hospital.
