EMPLOYEE INJURED IN FALL FROM ROOF

On March 30, 1998, Employee #1 and a coworker were on top of a 48-ft trailer "sectioning a roof" with an opening approximately 4 ft by 4 ft. Employee #1 was sitting in a straddle position on the trailer "bow" when the bow collapsed. Employee #1 fell approximately 5 ft into the trailer and landed on a pallet stacked with cardboard boxes containing taco shells and packets of hot sauce. Employee #1 fractured his neck, back, and hip and was taken to the hospital.
