Employee Suffers Amputated Finger Tips

Employee #1, a laborer, was using the table saw without the employer's knowledge. Employee #1 decided to cut an unusual cut on the table saw. Employee #1 was not trained to make this cut and the table saw was not set up properly to make this cut. The piece of wood being cut moved suddenly causing Employee #1 to loose his grip. Employee #1's fingers on his left hand contacted the turning saw blade and his middle and ring finger tips were amputated by the saw blade. Employee #1 was treated for his injuries but not hospitalized.
