Employee Suffers Concussion in Fall

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on August 24, 2011, Employee #1 was working for his employer, a construction services company that specializes in the framing of single-family residential structures. Employee #1 was assigned the task of setting a truss on a single-family residence that was under construction. The truss was located at a height of approximately 9 feet 1 inch. Employee #1 tried to handle the truss as it was being placed into location, and the truss swayed. Employee #1 lost his balance and fell to the concrete floor below. Employee #1 sustained contusions to his head and a concussion. The employer reported the accident on August 23, 2011 at 12:50 p.m. No accident-related citations were issued.
