Event: 11/20/1993
Employee killed in fall through skylight

On November 18, 1993, when the hoist on an overhead crane would not lower, Employee #1 had coworkers position the crane over the roof of the saw and drill building. Employee #1 then used a ladder to gain access to the roof, stood on the roof and attempted to repair the crane. Employee #1 then stepped through a fiberglass skylight and fell approximately 11 feet to concrete below. Employee #1 died of his injuries on December 6, 1993.
