Employee's femur broken when struck by forklift

On June 11, 1992, at Pennzoil Products, a forklift operator had stopped to talk to Employee #1 about the location of a certain product. When he finished, he released the emergency brake and the forklift started rolling back. Employee #1 was at the rear between the forklift and a baling press. The operator of the forklift could not stop in time and pinned Employee #1 against the baler. Employee #1 suffered compound fractures to his left femur. The coworker believed that the running forklift was still in reverse with the emergency brake set.
