ELECTRIC SHOCK - DIRECT CONTACT WITH OVERHEAD LINE

A POWER LINE WORKER FOR AN ELECTRIC UTILITY WAS THE SUPERINTENDENT OF A CREW REPAIRING WIND DAMAGE TO AN INSULATOR ("TERMINATOR"). HE REMOVED HIS RUBBER INSULATING GLOVES WHILE HE WAS WORKING AND CONTACTED A 4160-VOLT OVERHEAD POWER LINE. THE POWER LINE WORKER WAS ELECTROCUTED.
